Once added, you'll receive an email with a Google Play tester opt-in link. Click "Become a tester," then "Download from Google Play."

Install on your Android TV
On your TV, open Google Play → search "Kyro Player." Your tester account will now see the app. Click Install.

Find Kyro Player in your app drawer and launch it. The Android TV UI is optimized for D-pad navigation — every control is reachable with arrow keys and the OK button.
- 5
Add your playlist
Navigate to Playlists → Add (+). Choose M3U URL or Xtream Codes, paste your provider credentials, confirm. Text entry uses the Gboard TV keyboard; a paired Bluetooth keyboard speeds this up.

Live TV, VOD, and Series all load with poster artwork. D-pad up/down scrolls, left/right switches columns, back dismisses, play/pause toggles playback.

Paste a long URL without typing it
Install Gboard on your TV, then use "Voice to Type" or paste from your phone via the Gboard phone-companion feature. Alternatively, email yourself the URL and open it in the TV browser, then copy.
HDR and Dolby Vision
Kyro uses MediaKit (libmpv) under the hood, which supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision passthrough on compatible Android TV hardware. Some devices require enabling HDR in system settings.
4K 60 fps playback
Works on Shield Pro, Chromecast with Google TV (4K), and most recent high-end Android TV boxes. Entry-level devices (MediaTek S905W2) typically cap at 4K 30 fps for HEVC.
Sideload APK if my TV is unlisted
We officially distribute via Google Play only. Avoid third-party APK sites — most Kyro APKs floating around are modified/pirated. Email us for alternative distribution if Play isn't available on your device.
Bluetooth keyboard
Pair any Bluetooth keyboard via Settings → Remotes & Accessories. Huge quality-of-life win for entering long M3U URLs and searching.
Multiple profiles
Kyro Player supports multiple playlists side by side on Premium, which maps well to the "one TV, multiple users" setup. Each playlist keeps its own favorites and continue-watching.
