Install Kyro Player on Fire TV Stick.
Works on every Fire TV generation from Stick 4K onward. Kyro Player for Fire TV is currently in Internal Testing — request beta access by email.
Fire TV runs FireOS — a fork of Android — so Google Play isn't available. Kyro Player for Fire TV distributes through the Amazon Appstore once public. During the current Internal Testing phase, we send approved testers a direct FireOS build via email. Don't install random Kyro Player APKs from search results — many are modified or malicious.
Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Cube (2nd / 3rd gen), Fire TV Omni series. Older 2nd-gen Sticks (1080p only) lack the RAM for large catalogs.
FireOS 7 or later. FireOS 8 (Android 11-based) recommended for HDR10 passthrough and AV1 hardware decoding.
Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) minimum. Wired Ethernet via official Amazon adapter recommended for 4K HDR streaming.

Quirks specific to Fire TV.
Alexa voice search
Kyro Player responds to "Alexa, find Kyro Player" and "Alexa, open Kyro Player". In-app voice search for specific channels is on our roadmap.
Buffering on Fire TV Stick (non-4K)
The base Fire TV Stick has limited RAM and Wi-Fi throughput. 1080p streams usually work fine; 4K HEVC from an M3U often exceeds what it can sustain. Upgrade to Stick 4K Max or Cube for reliable 4K.
Remote shortcuts
Hold the home button for app switcher. Hold play/pause on a stream to show info. Menu button opens context actions (add to favorites, delete playlist).
Dolby Atmos passthrough
Fire TV Cube and Stick 4K Max support Atmos bitstream passthrough via the VLC-based decoder that ships with Kyro. Enable bitstream passthrough in Fire TV audio settings.
