iOS install guide

Install Kyro Player on iPhone & iPad.

From App Store to playing your first stream in about three minutes. No jailbreak, no sideloading, no account.

Supported devices

iPhone 8 or newer · iPad (6th gen) or newer · iPad Pro · iPad Air · iPad mini (5th gen+)

iOS version

iOS 15 or later. iOS 17+ recommended for best HDR playback.

Download size

~110 MB. Allow an extra 50–200 MB for playlist cache depending on catalog size.

  1. 1

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad

Tap the App Store icon on your home screen. If you don't see it, swipe down from the middle of the home screen and type "App Store" in the search field.

  2. 2

    Search for "Kyro Player"

Tap the Search tab at the bottom, type "Kyro Player", and tap the result published by FlowStack LLC. Double-check the publisher — impostor apps use similar names.

  3. 3

Tap Get, then confirm with Face ID / Touch ID / passcode

Kyro Player is a free download. Premium features (VOD, multi-playlist, full EPG, 4K) are an in-app purchase and are completely optional.

  4. 4

Wait for install, then tap Open

The app is ~110 MB. On a normal connection this takes 10-30 seconds. When the progress ring finishes, tap Open to launch.

  5. 5

Go to the Playlists tab and add your playlist

Tap the Playlists tab (bottom bar), then the + button in the top-right. Choose M3U URL or Xtream Codes, paste your credentials from your IPTV provider, and tap Add Playlist.

  6. 6

Wait for parsing, then start watching

Kyro parses and caches your playlist — large catalogs (50k+ channels) take ~30 seconds the first time. After that, launches are near-instant.

iOS-specific tips

iPhone and iPad quirks worth knowing.

Background playback keeps pausing

iOS aggressively suspends background audio unless the app has the right entitlement. Kyro Player supports background audio on Premium only — and iOS still requires you to keep the app in foreground for 1–2 seconds after switching streams for the handoff to stick.

AirPlay to Apple TV isn't working

iOS AirPlay for video only works over Wi-Fi on the same network. Disable Private Address on iOS Wi-Fi settings and re-pair if needed. Ensure your Apple TV has AirPlay enabled in Settings › AirPlay & HomeKit.

Picture-in-Picture

PiP works on iOS 15+. Tap the PiP icon in the player, or swipe home while a video is playing. PiP is supported across both free and Premium tiers.

Restrictions on 4K streams

Some older iPhones (8, XR) decode H.265/HEVC in hardware but not 4K H.265 above 30 fps. If 4K stutters, try streaming at 1080p or use an iPhone 11 or newer.

Cellular data

By default, Kyro streams on any connection. To restrict to Wi-Fi only, toggle "Allow cellular streaming" off in Settings. 4K HDR streaming can exceed 15 GB/hour — watch your data plan.

Family Sharing

Premium and Lifetime purchases support Apple Family Sharing when enabled on your Apple ID. Up to 6 family members can use the same subscription.
